If the adrenalin level was high for the K1 race, the K2 race had everyone bouncing.
Again Rachel Cawthorn had a blistering start, this time with partner Hayleigh Mason. They took out a lead of about 1 metre over the senior boat of Lucy Wainwright and Abi Coulson. Holding the same lead at 350 metres, the same two girls never then looked like being caught as they struck for home. |

They crossed the line as top womens K2 pairing of the regatta ahead of Jess Walker and Anna Hemmings who had a good second part of the race and finished strongly overtaking Wainwright and Coulson along the way.
In the junior classes, Tom Hide (Addlestone) dominated the Boys K1 event winning in a time of 1.45, while Wey athlete, Abigail Edmunds, had a great race in the Womens B/ Girls A class in a time of 2.02, beating senior athletes to 1st place
